Installing MathGraph32 on a Windows or Linux PC with Chrome as a web application

Since 8.7.0 version 8.7.0 of MathGraph32, it is possible to install MathGraph32on a computer under Windows or Linux as a web application (Progressive Web Application or pwa).

Once installed, MathGraph32 will behave as a native application.

If your computer is not connected to internet, the MathGraph32 web app will work anyway and, once reconnected, when starting againt the MathGraph32 web app, this web app will update automatically if a new version is available.

To install the web app, launch your Chrome or Chromium browser (FireFox does’nt allow installing a web app).

In the address bar enter the following URL : [https://app.mathgraph32.org].

MathGraph32 starts online in the browser.

For your web application to behave like a regular application when saving your figures in files, it is better to configure your browser so that you can choose the directory the files will be saved to. Otherwise all your figures will be saved in the Downloads directory.

For this, on the top right corner of Chrome click on the icon made of three points like underneath :

Click on Chrome advanced settings.

On the left, click onDownloads and, on the right, select Ask where to save each file before downloading.

Close the tab or Chrome configuration.

Now let’s install MathGraph32 web application.

At the right side of the address bar click on the icon like underneath :

Then validate :

Now you have on your desktop a new icon that will launch MathGraph32 web app :
